The
Goal
To create an innovative mall event for Comedy Central to
raise the awareness of the network, increase subscriber
acquisition, and stimulate local ad sales.
The Execution
“Stand-Up to Go” was an interactive promotional
tour that uniquely combined the best elements of comedy
and karaoke. Participants were positioned on a comedy nightclub
mobile stage, while the selected comedy routine of their
choice appeared on an easy-to-read monitor. Laughter and
applause were simultaneously mixed into the performance
and audience reaction clips were edited on-site to appear
on a final tape. Consumers had the opportunity to become
instant comedians and take their appearances home on their
own simulated Comedy Central show!
Results Recap
This event increased Comedy Central consumer awareness,
affiliate acquisition, and local ad sales revenue.
